Cohasset Golf Club, located in south shore of Massachusetts, is seeking an Assistant in Training/Spray Technician to join our team.Established in 1894, Cohasset Golf Club is one of the oldest, private clubs in New England.Cohasset Golf Club is a challenging 18-hole Donald Ross golf course located 25 miles south of Boston.This position will be an integral part of our daily maintenance operation.We are seeking a detail oriented and reliable spray technician that can help us maintain unparalleled daily tournament conditions through the safe and effective application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf management products.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take that first step into the Turfgrass industry with a focus on becoming a golf course Superintedent.This candidate will be involved in all aspects of the day to day operation with a primary focus on applications and assistance to the management team.
Golf Course Projects being executed in 2026:
In house tree work and construction of a new turf nursery in preparation for master plan renovation
Master plan restoration project starting in August designed by Jaeger Kovich of Proper GolfThis project consists of bunkers, green and fairway expansions, tees, and partial irrigation system
Dredging of 5 acre irrigation pond starting in August using hydraulic dredge
Primary Responsibilities of the Position:
Assist in daily Golf Course Operation
Chemical and fertilizer applications: safely and properly mix and apply products throughout the golf course
Equipment Calibration and maintenance
Record keeping
Help lead, train and mentor staff
Lead small teams on projects while supporting management to get the job done
Learn and train to be a team leader and run a productive maintenance crew
Experience:
Must be graduated, or pursuing a degree in turf management from an accredited program
Ability to maintain a high work ethic while functioning in a team environment
Must have a valid drivers license
Have or obtain a current Massachusetts pesticide applicators license within first two months of employment
