Position Overview Pinnacle Infotech is seeking a Fire Protection Sales Engineer to drive business growth by promoting and selling fire protection engineering, BIM, and preconstruction solutions across the US AEC market. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in fire protection systems and strong commercial acumen to engage clients, understand project requirements, and position Pinnacle’s capabilities as a value-driven solution.
Key Responsibilities • Identify and develop new business opportunities within fire protection contractors, GCs, consultants, and developers • Promote Pinnacle’s fire protection engineering, BIM modeling, coordination, and preconstruction services • Engage clients during design, pre-bid, and construction phases to position services early in the project lifecycle • Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to propose tailored technical solutions • Collaborate with internal engineering and BIM teams to develop proposals, cost estimates, and technical submissions • Lead client meetings, technical presentations, and capability demonstrations • Manage end-to-end sales cycle including prospecting, pipeline management, proposal submission, and deal closure • Build and maintain long-term client relationships to drive repeat business • Track market trends, competitor offerings, and client requirements within fire protection domain • Support contract negotiations and ensure alignment with company commercial objectives
Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field • 5+ years of experience in fire protection engineering, estimation, or related AEC services with a strong inclination toward sales/business development • Proven experience in selling engineering, BIM, or preconstruction services within the US market • Strong understanding of fire protection systems (sprinkler, fire alarm, suppression systems) and relevant codes (NFPA standards) • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents • Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to close deals
Preferred Qualifications • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Fire Protection (highly preferred) • Existing network with fire protection contractors and consultants in the US • Experience with BIM/VDC tools such as Revit, Navisworks, or fire protection design software • Exposure to design-build and preconstruction workflows
Reporting • Reports to: VP – Sales & Marketing • Works closely with: Fire Protection Engineering, BIM, and Global Delivery Teams
