Studio Sustena seeks a Senior Civil Engineer with a passion for high-performance, resilient site design. The position will lead our civil engineering team, in close collaboration with our landscape architects, with a focus on land development, water resources engineering, green infrastructure, and creative solutions.
Qualifications
- Eight to 15-years professional experience.
- PE license in Pennsylvania; license in additional states or reciprocity within six months of hire is a plus.
- Expertise in green infrastructure and interest in nature-based systems and/or ecological restoration.
- Experience with site design, land development, and permitting at the local and state levels.
- Experience with project management.
- Fluent in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD (or equivalent), and Microsoft Office; experience with H&H modeling is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with in-house landscape architects on creative design solutions.
- Lead the civil engineering team and provide mentorship.
- Lead and prepare permitting documentation and contribute to construction sets.
- Collaborate on evaluating emerging products and materials systems that promote resilient design.
- Refine internal technical standards.
- Write proposals for prospective civil engineering scope.
- Attend client meetings and participate in project interviews when necessary.
