Studio Sustena seeks a Senior Civil Engineer with a passion for high-performance, resilient site design. The position will lead our civil engineering team, in close collaboration with our landscape architects, with a focus on land development, water resources engineering, green infrastructure, and creative solutions.
Qualifications
Eight to 15-years professional experience.
PE license in Pennsylvania; license in additional states or reciprocity within six months of hire is a plus.
Expertise in green infrastructure and interest in nature-based systems and/or ecological restoration.
Experience with site design, land development, and permitting at the local and state levels.
Experience with project management.
Fluent in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD (or equivalent), and Microsoft Office; experience with H&H modeling is desirable.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with in-house landscape architects on creative design solutions.
Lead the civil engineering team and provide mentorship.
Lead and prepare permitting documentation and contribute to construction sets.
Collaborate on evaluating emerging products and materials systems that promote resilient design.
Refine internal technical standards.
Write proposals for prospective civil engineering scope.
Attend client meetings and participate in project interviews when necessary.
