4th Year Apprentice Lineman: A Career Opportunity at West Central Electric Cooperative

West Central Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a dedicated 4th Year Apprentice Lineman to join our GROWING team in Oak Grove, Missouri. As an Apprentice Lineman, you'll be an essential part of a crew, responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing our overhead and underground electrical distribution systems. This is a full-time position that requires a commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous learning.

 Key Responsibilities & Expectations

This role requires hard work and a willingness to work in all conditions. You'll be expected to:

• Construct and maintain power lines, poles, and related equipment according to company specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and repair problems with the electrical distribution system, which includes responding to call outs during nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Work safely at all times, often at heights from a lift bucket or by climbing utility poles.
• Operate and maintain hand tools, trucks, and other essential equipment.
• Effectively communicate with crew members and other personnel via radio, phone, and in person.

What You'll Need to Succeed

We're looking for a motivated individual who meets the following requirements:

• Residency: You must currently live within, or be willing to relocate to, a 25-minute commute from our Oak Grove, MO branch office. Please note: Relocation assistance is not available.
• Driver's License: You must possess a valid Missouri Class A Interstate Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or be able to obtain one before your hire date.
• Availability: You must be available for scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including responding to timely call outs and occasional overnight travel.
