Ball State University Intercollegiate Athletics invites applications for a Women’s Volleyball Graduate Assistant. The GA position will be considered a non-coaching staff member and assist the Head Coach and staff with sport specific responsibilities. The successful candidate must maintain a strong commitment to compliance with Ball State University, Mid-American Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Duties and responsibilities

Program Operations

• Assist with travel logistics, equipment coordination, and operational planning for practices and
  • Establish contact with vendors, hotels and bus drivers prior to travel dates
  • Assist in construction of travel and home weekend itineraries
  • Submit and organize receipts following each weekend
• Support camps/clinics planning and execution as
• Provide administrative support such as scheduling assistance, documentation, and coordination with internal
• Coordinate ticket lists for home and away
• Coordinate pre-game meals for home
• Liaison for alumni relations and
• Responsible for social media upkeep and
• Assist in other operation duties as

Coaching & Training Support

• Support match preparation, including scouting reports and opponent

Video, Statistics & Analytics

• Assist with film breakdown, cut-ups, and internal video
• Support statistical tracking, reporting, and performance feedback resources for staff and student-athletes (as assigned).

Student-Athlete Support & Culture

• Support a positive student-athlete experience and contribute to team culture
• Promote academic and personal success through professional communication and appropriate referrals to

Compliance

• Complete required trainings; maintain knowledge of and comply with NCAA, MAC, and institutional rules and

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree completed prior to start
• Must be admitted to a Ball State graduate program and maintain graduate enrollment/eligibility
• Ability to work 20 hours per week during the appointment
• Availability for evenings/weekends and team travel as
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork

Preferred qualifications

• Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience in
• Experience with video breakdown and volleyball statistics/analytics
• Experience supporting recruiting operations in intercollegiate

Compensation and benefits (Graduate Assistantship)

• Tuition remission per Ball State Graduate School policy (full academic-year full GA includes 30 credit hours; non-resident tuition waived; student remains responsible for student service fee, mandatory fees, and applicable program/course fees).
• Biweekly stipend (amount determined by the hiring department).
