Sands Point Golf Club is seeking a motivated Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to take on a leadership role within an experienced and dedicated maintenance team. This individual will be responsible for leading daily crew operations with an immediate focus on earning the respect and trust of a seasoned staff through strong communication, work ethic, and attention to detail.
This spring, a key priority will be helping guide the successful completion of the Fall 2025 course renovation, with a sharp focus on grow-in practices to ensure healthy, consistent playing conditions. The position also offers the opportunity to contribute to member and committee communications, playing an important role in representing the department and reinforcing the club’s commitment to excellence.

Club Highlights
- Total Rounds: 12,000
- Irrigation: Rain Bird IC with HDPE pipe
- 2026 Projects: Indoor hitting bays, driving range renovation, tee expansion work, parking lot expansion and landscaping, planning stages of new maintenance and turf environmental center
- Grass Type: Poa Greens and Bent/Poa Fairways
- Staff: 25-peak season
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and execution of all daily maintenance operations
- Manage grow in of recently completed bunker renovation project
- Supervise, train, and develop a diverse grounds staff
- Participate in water management, irrigation scheduling, and hand-watering practices
- Lead course setup to ensure championship-level playing conditions
- Assist with pesticide and fertilizer applications
- Support ongoing construction and improvement projects
