KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer, the assistant athletic trainer will discharge the following responsibilities:
Assist in administering the University's Athletic Training Services program
Evaluate, treat and rehabilitate athletic injuries for our NCAA student-athletes
Provide expert review and documentation of injuries
Refer for appropriate medical care, as needed
Travel with teams, as assigned
Assist with inventory and ordering of supplies for the athletic training room
Serve as a preceptor for athletic training students and interns
Complete and file all required paperwork and electronic documentation
Maintain positive relations with local health care providers
Be aware of, understand, and follow all university policies
Demonstrate a high level of motivation with strong interpersonal skills
Participate in committees and provide service to the Department, University, and Profession
This is an SL-2, full-time,10-month, term-appointed, professional position. The start date will be negotiated with the final candidate and be no later than August 1, 2026. The salary range for this position is $45,000-$48,000, commensurate with experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
Current certification from NATA Board of Certification
CPR/AED/First Aid for the Professional Rescuer Certification
Must be licensed/eligible for New York State licensure
Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights and weekends when necessary
Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to work towards departmental objectives
Valid driver's license and ability to pass LENS certification
Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and constituents in support of campus and department mission
Demonstrated commitment to the university, division, and profession
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field with prior athletic training experience
