Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) is responsible for the planning, design and construction of the University of Michigan's physical campus. A division of Facilities and Operations, our professional staff has the expertise to manage a wide range of facility improvement projects. 0-5 years of experience in the area of architecture or with an Architectural/Engineering firm.
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree from an accredited Architecture program.
Enrolled in the NCARB AXP program or qualified to enroll immediately upon start of appointment.
Fundamental knowledge of the concepts, practices and procedures in the design and construction document preparation for institutional or commercial buildings. Basic knowledge of structural, civil and MEP building systems.
Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills; excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate a basic knowledge and prior experience of using drafting/modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation) for presentation materials and construction documents.
Demonstrate a basic knowledge of graphic design software (such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop/Indesign).
Demonstrate a basic knowledge of general office programs such as Microsoft office suite.
Manage personal workload prioritization and projections for all projects and tasks.
