Assists and supports Compliance Coordinator with workplace safety initiatives through systematic auditing, accurate report generation and effective management of Safety Data Sheets, equipment/fleet documentation and other programs as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews and further develops the current chemical inventory program.
Updates and audits the current Safety Data Sheets (SDS) binders.
Updates and audits the SDS listings on the SiteDocs App.
Audits and inventories current Flame Cabinets monthly.
Reviews and generates weekly report on fleet documentation.
Completes fleet spec audit and documentation.
Completes fleet/equipment audit and digital documentation within SiteDocs App.
Aids Compliance Coordinator with transformer recycling requirements monthly.
Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of an associate’s degree or formal post-secondary training in Occupational Safety. A bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field is highly preferred.
Possession of (or the ability to obtain) an OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour General Industry/Construction card.
Previous internship experience in a safety role or completion of comprehensive safety-related coursework.
KNOWLEDGE
Basic understanding of local and federal safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, and DOT).
Maintains a thorough understanding of Nolin RECC and WOUS policies and procedures, local, State and Federal rules and regulations as they pertain to the electric utility industry.
Understands Nolin RECC and WOUS safety and driving guidelines.

WORKING CONDITIONS
May include inside office environment (70%) and outside (30%) in all types of weather, terrain and road conditions.
